Bianca Flanders is one of South Africa’s biggest up and coming children’s book authors. On Tuesday the 28th of November from 15.00 – 16.30 CET, Bianca will give an exclusive book reading and signing at the Zuid-Afrikahuis.

About the Author:
Bianca Flanders is an actress, voice artist and teacher based in Cape Town. She graduated from the university of cape town (UCT) in 2011with a degree in theatre and performance and then went on to obtain her postgraduate certificate of education in 2012, also at uct. Bianca taught at camps bay high in 2016 and she has also taught at institutions such as battswood arts centre and city varsity.

Bianca received a fleur de cap-nomination in 2016 for her role as miela in “kristalvlakte”. In 2018 she was nominated for a woordtrofees for her role as amelia in “the demon bride”. When she is not working, you will find her in her walmer estate kitchen cooking up a storm. Or like most Cape Townians, on Seapoint Promenade.


Bianca Flanders is ‘n aktrise, stemkunstenaar en onderwyser wat in Kaapstad woon. Sy het haar graad in drama- en teaterstudie aan die universiteit van kaapstad (uk) behaal in 2011. In die daaropvolgende jaar, het bianca ook ‘n nagraadse sertifikaat in onderwys by uk verwerf. Bianca was ‘n onderwyser by camps bay high en sy was ook verbonde aan battswood arts centre en city varsity.

Vir haar akteurswerk ontvang bianca in 2016 ‘n fleur de cap-nominasie vir haar rol as Miela in “kristalvlakte”. in 2018, word sy ook genomineer vir ‘n woordtrofees-toekenning vir haar rol as amelia in “the demon bride”. Wanneer Bianca nie werk nie, is sy besig om te kook in haar kombuis in walmer estate. Of sy wandel graag langs die Seepunt-promenade soos die meeste Kapenaars
