30 years of democracy in South Africa have been marred by a slow descent into literal and figurative darkness for many. Now the opposition parties of the nation have united in a Hail Mary fashion to offer something new at a time where the country stands on the brink, once again. Can a coalition win? Can it last?
Join us on the 18th of December with William Horne, journalist in residence, who will give us in dept insights of a possible coalition government. About William Horne As a journalist, my experience has been diverse: after a brief internship at Popular Mechanics Magazine, I was appointed as a senior product writer at South Africa’s largest consumer technology magazine, TFG Tech. Within 6 months, I was promoted to the position of Managing Editor in charge of the magazine production cycle, story commissioning, and editing. A month later, I had convinced the Editor-in-Chief and the publisher to introduce a science section to the magazine, with a monthly full length feature and to which I continued contributing as a specialist writer and senior correspondent for two years after leaving the publication as full-time employee. With experience in radio news, and multimedia skills across photography, videography, layout design, and website development abilities, I am a well-suited all-rounder when it comes to media in any form. With a mix of creative and analytical problem solving abilities, there are few challenges I can’t overcome.
